ithirstnw.net's
WRITER'S GUIDELINES ithirstnw is a monthly inspirational
e-zine whose focus is to inspire and provide opportunities for meeting fellow Christians and to have fun in doing so. Basically,
we want to bring more people to Christ, as well as to give Christian families the tools and encouragement they need to maintain
a Christ-centered household. The majority of our readers are married women, ages 30+. ithirstnw also strongly promotes local
and regional Christian events. There is no compensation at this time for writers as ithirstnw is a fairly
new ezine and I cannot afford to pay writers right now, but look forward to doing so sometime in the future. However,
for those writers who love to write or need more writing experience for their "writer's resume" this is a perfect
outlet! Right now I am accepting fiction or nonfiction, inspirational, humor
& reflective musings of 400 – 900 words. I welcome both original and reprinted articles. ithirstnw retains the right
to edit material for length and content. Byline will be given. First Rights. Query
letters are accepted, however, manuscripts are preferred. Manuscripts should be must include author’s name, email address/mailing
address and if submitting reprint, please give the name of the publication and date. Frankly, electronic submissions are preferred and should be emailed to sreesbowen@comcast.net, but if you prefer to mail me your mailing manuscript, please send with SASE to: Sandra Rees, P.O. Box 3151, Ferndale, WA
98248.

What made me decide to publish ithirstnw.net?
As a Christian mother, I found myself annoyed by the length of time
it took to find Christian events for myself and my family. First, I would check the Bellingham Herald’s
annual listings of events, then my church’s weekly bulletin and if I was still unsuccessful, I would ask my friends
for their suggestions. Later on, invariably I would hear of an event that sounded great, only to find that
it was either booked up or past the time to apply. Okay, I have to admit that
I am of the “want it now” generation and perhaps I do get impatient at times, but I began to worker
if there was one place where I could find the information I needed. You know, something like a “one
stop shopping” for Christian events.
It was then the idea of ithirstnw.net
was born. However, I became concerned wondering if there were enough events to make the idea of a monthly e-zine event
feasible? So, I did a bit of investigating and was surprised to discover that there are lots of really great Christ-basted
events that would interest both secular and non-secular individuals and families – and thus, ithirstnw.net was born.
Like a toddler, ithirstnw.net will be going through growing stages, so don’t be surprised
by some of the changes you might see in the months ahead. Right now I am working with some great people who will
be sharing their own inspira- tional stories with you. These stories will encourage and perhaps even touch your heart.
If you have an inspirational story that you would like to share, email it to me at sreesbowen@comcast.net. It just might be chosen and you’ll see it in an upcoming issue. Blessings to you all, Sandra
